The Construction Has Begun!

It's getting to be very exciting. Just met with the handyman who I've contracted to build my darkroom. We had a long talk about what had to be built... and an even longer talk trying to explain what the heck I was trying to do in the first place. But after all that, we're now set to begin.

Scooted over to my friendly neighborhood lumberyard / hardware to buy all the materials. Suprisingly, all the wood cost only Php4300. That's for my 8 foot sink, racks, my enlarger's pedestal / table and whatnot. Plus lightproofing and plumbing, I'll probably rack up a bill of 15k.

Off-topic: Matrix Predictions

This is obviously off-topic. But I wanted some way to document my predictions for the third installment in the megabucks movie The Matrix. Frankly, I was disappointed in the last installment. Here's how I saw it: solid action + solid effects marred by the typical lackluster performance from Keanu Reeves and a plotline and script that degraded towards techno-psycho-babble towards the end of the movie.

17-35mm: Spectacular!!

Just acquired this sweet lens from Jerry T for under 50k. What can I say... it supremely rocks. It's very rarely that I get to use a lens that is this good. It's even rarer that I get to use a lens that I can visually compare to my existing consumer-grade lenses and actually notice a difference with the naked eye.
